An intervention mast was mobilised and operated on the Miller drill floor during a coil tubing campaign to avoid working under a suspended load (CT injector head). Pre- operational work and site visits meant a solution could be sourced early.

When the mast and injector were in place, Qserv carried out a stand alone operation. The mast was successfully mobilised to the platform and lifted onto the drill floor, eliminating the need for personnel to work below a suspended injector head. The dangers of using tuggers and lifting equipment on the drill floor were reduced due to the capabilities of the mast. Fine adjustments and movement offered by the mast meant that making and breaking the injector on and off the riser was simplified.
