Qserv supplied a full 5 1/8'' PCE wireline package c/w light weight lubricator, 5 1/8'' tool package and slimline unit utilizing 7/32” braided cable. Also supplied was a 90ft HighReach mast. A 90ft mast was used as a straddle was run in two parts, with both parts an approximate length of 30ft each. The PCE rig up height was close to 70ft. This was a 24 hour operation with crews shuttled daily, as there is only emergency accomodation on this facility.

The operation consisted of spotting and erecting the mast, then building a scaffolding tower to lower in the straddle and connect it to the tool string. The straddle was then run into the well and set over a water zone. This was the first time that BP had carried out operations using the 90ft mast and onboard an unmanned platform (NUI). The maximum lift was 5.5 ton.
