Smart plug removal

Client - Chevron, Location - Erskine field, North Sea

Overview

Qserv provided project management, engineering and emergency Smart plug removal from the 16’’ multiphase pipeline (29.6km).

Outcome

N2 pumping operations were undertaken from a designated vessel alongside the Erskine platform. Gas / fluid calculations were made to locate the Smart plug. Fluid was recovered from the pipeline back to the Erskine and Lomond platform.
