Qserv were required to design and manufacture a new concept of intervention frame for subsea operations, allowing the two top winches to rotate 340 degrees around both the supporting legs of the lift frame.
Once the equipment is rigged up, the rotation of the winches and coil tubing injector head platform allows the coil tubing injector head and associated equipment to rotate significantly. This means either slickline or e-line can be rigged up with the other winch, without rigging down coil tubing equipment. The intervention frame bends 90 degrees at the bottom to allow the system Qserv designed to be a safer and easier option for installing the surface tree and cased wear joint, by having a sliding door that secures the surface tree to the intervention frame in the 20” bowl.
