Aker Qserv appointment bolsters well services capabilities in the North Sea


15 January 2010 – Specialist well, process and pipeline service company Aker Qserv has announced the appointment of a new well services manager to lead operations in the east of England as the company continues to increase growth in 2010.

Iain Pittman will provide operational management support for a range of clients including E.ON Ruhrgas and Scottish and Southern Energy. He is also charged with developing new business opportunities within the well stimulation, coiled tubing, wireline, pipeline and process services in the North Sea.

With more than 20 years technical experience in the oil and gas industry, Pittman has worked within the engineering, operations and project management disciplines for a number of operators including Shell and Total.

Iain will be based at the Aker Qserv office facility, Great Yarmouth.

Ciaran Dreelan, director of Aker Qserv, said: “Iain’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to our Southern North Sea operations by establishing a local operations management focus for our clients. It will also facilitate the development of our service offering in the region.”
