Qserv staff doubles donation to Breast Cancer campaign
Fashionistas from Qserv, the specialist well, process and pipeline service company headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland, have raised more than £1,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign – doubling last years donation.
The company held a ‘Wear it Pink Day’ on Friday 31 October to raise money for the UK charity which looks at improving diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The charity, which this year celebrates thirteen years of fundraising, has raised millions of pounds from pink donations to fund innovative, world-class research throughout the UK to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.
A special prize was awarded to Personnel Logistics Assistant, Pam Morrison, who wore 14 items of pink clothing on the day.
Organiser, Cath Ferrier said: “This is Qserv’s second year supporting this very worthwhile campaign. Everyone made a huge effort on what was a fun day for all. We are delighted to have doubled our donation from last year and are already planning our pinkest and wildest outfits for next year. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and donated.”
