Lairhillock children score new football strips from Qserv

Aspiring, young footballers from Lairhillock Primary School in Aberdeenshire will kick-off the rest of the football season in brand new strips generously donated by specialist well, process and pipeline service company Qserv.

The school’s A-team, which is made up of youngsters aged between nine and eleven, unveiled their new white top and black shorts, emblazoned with the Qserv logo, in front of Aberdeen Football Club midfielder Mark Kerr, who was on hand to share his football skills with the children.

The school, which opened in 2007, has three football teams from primary two to primary seven, which take part in the mid-Deeside small schools league, each of which now boast corporate sponsorship.

Qserv is committed to having a positive impact on the communities in which it operates worldwide and the partnership with Lairhillock primary school reinforces its drive to support and promote strong community links and develop young talent.

Ciaran Dreelan, Qserv’s well services director said: “I’m delighted to support Lairhillock Primary School in its efforts to encourage young sporting talent and I hope the new strips will give the children confidence and pride in their team and inspire lots of fun on the football pitch. Qserv recognises the importance of investing in its community.”

Manager of Lairhillock primary school's A-Team, Stephen Davies, added: “It's especially nice to get a new strip for the team and we would like to thank Qserv for their donation. We are both like-minded in aiming to encourage more young people to lead a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle that will stand them in good stead in the future.

“More than 30 children take part in football training with the school and the new kits will give them a sense of pride and professionalism. We must have the best turned out teams in the league."
