Wireline tractor services
The surface controlled PowerTrac® Advance™ is run as an integral part of the tool string conveyed on wireline into oil and gas wells. The tractor is electrically powered from the surface through conductors inside the wireline, and energised when gravity no longer overcomes friction forces in the well. PowerTrac® Advance™ may be remotely operated from an office onboard the installation, or even operated from an onshore location.
By attaching PowerTrac® Advance™ to the tool string, all typical wireline work can be performed in horizontal well sections, disregarding the need for heavier conveyance methods such as coiled tubing, snubbing or drill string.
Examples of tractor conveyed operations include:
- Perforation
- Plug setting and retrieval
- Data acquisition

Through recent years several PowerTrac® technologies have been developed and successfully implemented in the field. The new rotating equipment has proven to solve regular challenges seen by our customers in a very cost efficient way.
The quality systems for all operations are accredited and certified to the ISO 9001:2000 and 14000 standard
